Restaurants and hotels will be limited to 50 percent capacity
The new Covid-19 Guidelines imposed in Chandigarh
In light of the rising number of cases of corona, the Chandigarh administration has imposed a slew of restrictions in response to Punjab and Haryana’s stringent measures. Due to a spike in coronavirus cases, the Chandigarh Administration issued an order on Sunday forcing wedding venues, restaurants, and other eateries to operate at half capacity. Only half of the available seats in these places can be utilized. The guidelines will take effect immediately, according to a Chandigarh Administration directive. Violations of the order would be prosecuted under the Disaster Management Act of the Indian Penal Code.
Restaurants, motels, cafes, coffee shops, diners, wedding ceremony sites, banquet halls, and other establishments will open at half capacity, according to the directive.
The Chandigarh Administration issued a supplementary order saying that all activities, including boating in Sukhna Lake, will be closed from Monday to Saturday. Only those taking morning or evening walks between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., or 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., will be permitted entry. Every Sunday, the lake will be closed.
The overall number of instances of infection has now reached 66,061, with 96 new cases of coronavirus arriving in Chandigarh on Sunday. Many major decisions had previously been made by the Haryana and Punjab governments, including the night curfew. In five cities, including Gurugram and Faridabad, the Haryana government has adopted a 50% capacity regulation in most public venues. Furthermore, without immunization, public movement has come to a halt. Punjab’s government has also adopted similar measures.
